The business that I'd been running for 15 years… it was announced at the very end of August that on October 3, my platform would be closing.

And that was all it was to it… it completely disintegrated.

So that was five years ago in October, and I was faced with change.

I considered it that the door had opened.

And as a result of a little help from some friends, I decided that I was going to put my eggs into the networking basket.

I had been doing networking through my BNI relationships and through my business for… well… more than 15 years, really.

And I knew that I had something to share with others.

But I didn't know exactly what.

So... I wrote my book. My book is called, Stop Wasting Your Time Networking, because so many people do.

When I wrote the book, and I actually drafted the outline for it. Five years ago, I finished that outline, and then I went and I dictated the book. Why? Because I'm a much better speaker than I am a typer.

So I dictated the book to my computer, and then I started editing.

And what I found was that I actually had my own framework for strategic networking.

And a result of that framework has not only been the book but also been a master class that I created and wrote, and a fantastic keynote presentation that I now deliver.

A book. A masterclass. A keynote.

The six-module master class used to be delivered over Zoom, live by me during Covid, and I had great clients and great results for people, because I shared with them what the secrets were… really the techniques and skills required… to do good networking.

And the keynote is called Rock & Roll and Networking, and it expands on those models and takes the framework and brings it to life.

Because I talk a lot about the fact that I do keynotes, and I love doing keynotes, and that's where I'm putting a lot of my energy.
